Welcome to another Triple Post!

Welcome to 3 parties - a Porch Party - hosted by energetic Barb at Grits and Glamour, a Tablescape Thursday, hosted by creative Susan at Between Naps on the Porch , and a Cloche Party, hosted by enthusiastic Marty at A Stroll Thru Life. Be sure to stop by Barb's on Wednesday, Susan's on Thursday, and Marty's on Friday to see what wonderful ideas they have to share, as well as all the other participants.

Come sit on the back porch....it started as a deck, but was totally immersed in sun all afternoon, so hubby built a roof. You'll notice that there is a new, unpainted little gate to the porch area - it keeps dogs out and grandies in! I always surround the porch with hanging fern baskets.

See the black milk can on the left? (It is topped with another fern.) Hubby gave that to me one Christmas after our old milk can (that we had for 25 years!) was STOLEN off our front porch! He had someone find it for me in a flea market in Alabama and UPS it here! Was I surprised!

I showed these pots in a previous post and boy, how they've grown! Dragon wing begonias, million bells, creeping jenny and a vine (can't remember the name).

One of two window boxes that hang off the railing - petunias, snow-on-the-mountain, creeping jenny and ivy. Now, THIS is the best: a wading pool to help contain all the sand in the plastic container for the grandies. It was meant to be portable - gone from sight when they are not here, but you know how that goes! It's not pretty, but the sight of my grandies playing in it is a masterpiece to me.
Another fav - the SWING! We have to set a timer so that they get equal turns! Also 2 thrifty riding toys that have been used a gazillion times! My favorite porch is when they are all here playing all over the place with sand, bubbles, and squeals of delight!
And now for my table setting - just a setting for one - still on the porch. I'm using my S.Living plate, bowl and mug, along with a coffee set with different pieces found at various flea markets.

Whoa, this is a lot of pics for me! I am trying to be artistic with my photos : )

And now for the Cloche Party....disclaimer....Marty said that since I didn't have a cloche, I could use apothecary jars, so.....I began a button jar and had about 200 buttons only 1 inch tall. So, I went through my precious Grammy's sewing machine drawers and came up with "beaucoup" buttons, as well as lots of thread. My sweet Grammy was born in 1899 and died in 1986, and I had left these drawers untouched until today.

If I had a sewing room, I would have various jars filled with buttons, thread, snaps, rick rack, ribbon, etc. How colorful!
This little jar of sand dollars has been in the basement until today - now washed up and sporting sand dollars found during a particular trip to the beach when our grown kids were teenagers.

I love jars in the bathroom holding q-tips......
Bars of soap (from our favorite B&B) that we had used on various weekend trips and brought home (instead of them throwing them in the trash can). Let's recycle our own soap - how can soap be dirty?!

and still more q-tips in my favorite jar - love the lid.
My favorite over-all - jar with red apples and yellow lemons and a raffia bow!
Well, now....on Wednesday you can scoot on over to Barb's at Grits and Glamour, then Thursday stop and sit at a table at Susan's at Between Naps on the Porch, and on Friday go by Marty's at A Stroll Thru Life to the Cloche Party. Whew....I'm tired.....I think I need to go sit on the porch with a glass of sweet mint tea (oh, phooey, I'm on a diet....guess I'll have to have a glass of ice water....hmmmm maybe with a hint of lime.) Have a great week and weekend! Linda

Hi Linda,
You are so ambitious and I think you deserve that sweet tea!! I love your pretty porch filled with lovely things and the grandkiddies stuff, that's the best! I love how you did your jars, that 1 lid is so pretty and I love the apples and seashells, what great ideas! Cindy

Wow, three in one. You are adventurous. I love how you have stuff on your porch for your grand kids. The tablescape is great. And I love all the apothecary jars. Seeing yours has reminded me of some I need to take photos of for Friday's party. Well I better get to it.

I love it all so much, I don't even know where to begin! Beautiful porch, flowers and tablescapes. That's so sweet of your hubby to track down a milk can for you. If you stop by my porch, you'll see my milk can that I've had for at least 15 years. I've schlepped that thing with me from house to house.

Hi Linda...I'd love to come sit on your beautiful porch! Boo-hiss on those milk can thieves...We had a humongous Boston fern stolen off our porch once in broad daylight while I was in the house vacuuming.
By the way, I really appreciate your sweet comments on my blog about our dilemma. ;-) Bo

What fun this was! 3 wonderful events on one blog posting. Your porch looks so pretty, and I agree that a porch looks best with grandchildren playing on it. And what a pretty spot to have a meal. Your tablescape looks so inviting, and I love the idea of the thread spools and buttons, sand dollars, and Q tips in jars. Your apple and lemon jar is so pretty. Great post! laurie

Yoohoo! A Triple-dipple post. Thats almost as good as a triple-decker ice cream cone. :-)

I love your porch. All the babygrand stuff puts a smile on my face. My grandson has been gone since April 2 and I still can't make myself put away some of his toys and things.

I loved the tablescape on the porch. And all your jars are wonderful. I really liked the ones with the thread spools and buttons. Reminds me of my mom's sewing room.

Thanks for joining in the Porch and Patio Party.

YAY! Three posts for one money! :) LOL! Gorgeous - all of it. Your tea service looks a bit like mine - (Pfaltzgraff heritage) and I love the way you use your cloches/apothecaries to store such beautiful useful items! I try not to sew - but I think a row of those with thread in them would be oh-so-perfect! ;) Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Linda, I really appreciate your visit tonight! My, you were a very busy girl today- 3 posts in one...
My favorite apothecary jar was the one with the thread in it. I saw one at one of my favorite little shops all done up like this. You cracked me up with the comment about "dirty soap" - how could it possibly be dirty- it's soap, made to clean! LOL
