It's a Triple Post!

It's a triple post today - My first Mosaic Monday, hosted by Mary at Little Red House, Met Monday, hosted by the creative lady -Susan at Between Naps on the Porch, and Today's Thrifty Treasures, hosted by the "eye for a bargain" - Rhoda at Southern Hospitality.

What do I do with all my needlepoint that I have put away in zippered bags in my basement? These are pillows I stitched myself, frequently when expecting a baby.

Make a mosaic. (photo courtesy of my very kind and savvy friend Debbie at Confessions of a Plate Addict - Thanks, Debbie!)
Is it time to bring them back? re-do them? inset them in fabric?
Or should they rest in peace.....move away for something more updated and simple?

Please let me know what you think.....I don't want my sofa to look like it's stuck in a time warp.

For Met Monday, I made over this thrifty GW find.....
By adding a flea market needlepoint pillow (I love to rescue needlepoint, and it was a bargain).
And I think it's sitting pretty!
Another thrifty red0 - first I found this GW tray.....the flowers aren't really my colors, but I liked the green and gold curvy border. Hmm, maybe I'll paint it.

This little bedside table was looking a little stark, so....

I layered it with the tray, and the green curvy edges really show up well and the flowers disappear, so I think I'll leave it alone.

It also inspired me to clean up the second level of the table : )

Please don't forget to go by Mary's at Little Red House, Susan's at Between Naps on the Porch and Rhoda's at Southern Hospitality to see what's going on and who's participating. Happy Monday! Linda

Beautiful!
Linda, I love all your needlepoint pillows and your sofa is gorgeous, but IMHO, I think there's a little too much going on with the pillows and the sofa. I'd find another spot for them. Your GW chair is so pretty & the pillow just finishes it beautifully!

Have you tried Picnik for your photos? I'm not the most proficient at some of the photo editing sites, but Picnik is so easy to use & have great free features. (I'm thinking about upgrading & subscribing because it's so much fun to use.)

I love all of your needlepoint, you are so talented! And that sofa is just gorgeous. Surely you can find someplace to display these beautiful pillows, it would be a shame to hide them away. And I really like what you did with the bedside table, that's a great idea. Kathy

A triple post... you're a brave woman!

I think I'll talk about the sofa... I love it... I think if I were you... I'd wrap my pillows for the summer in some white fabric and make pillow envelopes.. the white will make it look all summery... and you don't have to buy new pillows... just a couple of different white fabrics... I do it to my pillows all the time.. saves time and money...

Your needlepoint is beautiful and I know how much work is involved. I gave up midway through a cross stitch project; it gave me a headache and was taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r!!!!

Could you possibly frame them and display they on a gallery wall with some of your favorite artwork of family photos?

My! My! what a talented girl you are! I love your needlepoint pillows. I would just keep a few on the couch. Not all of them. I do like the way the blue one with the pink flower on it looks on the couch. You did a good job on the chair.

Put out the pillows, they're lovely!

I love needlepoint too & have passed up a few little pieces lately. No more room for more needlepoint pillows.

I do think more simple pillows would enhance your beautiful blue toile sofa better than a lot of pattern. That's just my 2 cents.

Great table and tray transformation! what a good idea. As for your pillows, I love them ALL, but maybe they are not right for the toile sofa?
What about on a bed, or a simple bench instead? Or you could take apart the pillows, and frame the needlepoints in matching simple frames, and have a lovely wall grouping.
