Sur la table

Welcome to my first post for Tablescape Thursday, hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Be sure to visit her site and see wonderful pictures of her home, tablescape ideas, etc., etc., etc.!

My daughter had fun setting up my first tablescape, and the theme is French, bien sûr.
The runner is really a red toile tablecloth that I made a few years ago and we folded it to the size we wanted.

I really love my chargers.....$3.86 each at Walmart. What a deal! I got 12 because we have a big family! My dishes are Italian Countryside, but we won't tell the French!

My compote was a recent find at a flea market - only $13....and the roosters were a gift from my sweet daughter (a few years ago).

I had some left over black and white paper napkins and we put them in a napkin ring that says "Monsieur". There is also a "Madame" napking ring on the table.
Got a set of coaster from a tabac in the airport as I was leaving and trying to spend the last of my francs (It's been a while...euros

One more look.

Another day I added more fruit....then I put red plates under the chickens...than I added brass candlesticks. Hmmmmm.......

Let's move those candlesticks. I'll be interested to see if daughter approves or moves it back like it was to begins with...hee hee hee!

Okay, I'm ready for some "quiche, du pain et de la salade." Bon appétit!
Be sure to visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch and see who else is participating in Tablescape Thursday! à bientôt.....Linda

I really like your centerpiece. Fruit is always appropriate, at least to me. The woven placemats look perfect. The coasters fit right in with the whole tablescape. I absolutely adore a runner on the table so you can still appreciate the beauty of the layer underneath. Wonderful presentation.
