Not Your Ordinary Breakfast! Plus a Tour

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday which is hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.
Be sure and stop by her site to see lots of wonderful ideas, as well as other participants.

Today's tablescape features the table and breakfast in the dining room this past weekend at our favorite B & B Magnolia Hall, where the beauty of the surroundings is only surpassed by the warmth and hospitality of it's charming host and hostess - Ken and Dale.

Magnolia Hall is a Victorian Cottage filled with lovely antiques and charming decor. Dale uses a lovely centerpiece with birds and candles. You will notice little cherub napkin holders.

East guest has a nametag by his/her place.

Breakfast the first morning is creamy scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, and homemade sweet potato biscuits with delicious apple topping & whipped cream, and a sugared strawberry. Wow - a gourmet delight!

Here is breakfast the second day - baked Havarti egg, bacon, and stuffed French toast topped with strawberries and cream. Yum....not my typical breakfast! I'm not sure how many sets of dishes Dale has, but she uses different plates each day.

Thought you might like a little mini tour of their WONDERFUL cottage. This is the parlor with a baby grand that Ken plays while you eat breakfast! He is a gifted pianist.

Another view of the parlor.

This is the den and game room.

This is one of 3 rooms you can stay in downstairs - The Green Room.

This is the Walton Room - also located downstairs.

This is Carrie's Corner, located in the back corner of the house, also downstairs.

There are 2 suites located upstairs, but I am going to let you check them out yourself on their website where the pictures are MUCH better than mine.
Here is the Victorian Cottage from the front - you can only see 1/2 of it. To the right are rockers and a porch swing.

You might wonder where this is located - well, it's in the little city of Hamilton, Georgia, about 10 minutes from Callaway Gardens, 10 minutes from Pine Mountain, and about 30 minutes from Warm Springs. We like it so much that we have been there 30 times over the past 10 years! There's lots of antiquing to do around - in fact - come back soon because I am going to take you 'tiquing and flea marketing! You really ought to check out Magnolia Hall for yourself and see all the rooms and much better photos.

Also, don't forget to stop by Susan's at Between Naps on the Porch and see who else is participating in Tablescape Thursday.

I'm not sure what I'm drooling over more. The table, the food, the furniture or the outside. Right now...probably the food! I haven't had breakfast yet and your pictures are just yummy!

I'm LOL over how many people have said they didn't like their food to touch. So funny!

The only reason these wonderful pictures didn't make me hungry is that I am eating while I check out some blogs.

This might be a doable trip for me and DH. I'll have to check into that possibility. It looks like a place where I would love to spend some time.

Glenda, you can totally do this trip from where you live, and you would love it. There are 3 reasonable antique/flea markets in Pine Mountain and a couple of beautful budget busters as well. In Warm Springs, there is a big flea market just before the town, as well as several fun places in town. Let me know if you go! Linda
