This is a blue and yellow breakfast table. I bought the fabric for the tablecloth in Provence around 1997, and added other items accumulated through the years. At the end of this post are two things: first, a mug that I wonder if any of you have seen, and a plastic plate and sippy cup tablescape for my adorable granddaughter from last week.
There is just something so fresh and clean about blue and yellow, isn't there?!I tried the centerpiece with an iron candleholder......
Then I switched to a blue & white candle holder.
Now, question....have you seen this mug at any flea markets? My mother gave me 4 for my birthday a few years back, and I recently broke one : ( They have been discontinued by Williams Sonoma, but I found them at Replacements. HOWEVER, they were $50 a piece! (The original price was $15 each.) That is ridiculous! If you run across one for under $20, would you get it for me and I'll send you the money and shipping! I am so mad at myself for breaking one, and they are very special to me because my mother (still living) gave them to me. It is Highgrove by Wedgewood sold by Williams Sonoma.
And now for my plastic plate and sippy cup tablescape for my granddaughter.
We have the little tea set from Fisher-Price, plate from P.Barn for kids, and placemat from Target. My little sweetie liked the idea that the bunnies were watching her eat her snack!(My mother made those bunnies years ago.)
On one of Gollum's blogs at Designs by Gollum, she mentioned these pink and white placemats for $1 at Big Lots, so I went and got 4 'cause we have 4 little girls, and they are a perfect match!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I know you'll enjoy going by Susan's at Between Naps on the Porch to see who else is participating in Tablescape Thursday. And if you run across one of my mugs, then holler please! Blessings, Linda

I love blue and yellow, too. You made it extra nice with the very decorative centerpiece. You can never start little ones appreciating lovely tablescapes to early.
I love your blue and yellow table! Pretty dishes and I don't think I've ever seen that designs that's on your mugs - so prety! Now, what really takes the cake is that tablesetting for your precious little granddaughter. She is so cute!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Your blue and yellow tablescape is just gorgeous, and I absolutely LOVE your yellow rooster. I have never seen one in yellow, but it is fabulous. The precious tablescape for your little girls is so sweet and what a special thing for her to have her very own tablescape and place to have a snack. She will always remember these special treats. If I see one of the mugs, I will definitely get it for you. So sorry you broke one. Hugs, Marty

As I read through your post I thought how beautiful your table setting was...and then I got to the bottom. This is such a sweet idea! She must have felt like a princess with her special setting for snack. Absolutely adorable. And I've saved your picture in my computer file. Next time I go to the flea market, I'll bring it and look for your mug!

Simply lovely -- I am crazy about Spode Blue Italian! So, it's nice to see another person having the same dishes! ;)

I love your tablescape. I like both centerpieces. Can't decide which one I like the best. But then I'm so indecisive. I hope you get your replacement cup. I know what you mean about Replacement.com's prices. Highway robbery. Hopefully someone finds you one and you don't end up with 24 more. Ha, ha!
Your grandaughters tablescape is just darling. I wish I had a grandaughter. Just a grandson for now. I'll just have to enjoy him.
Beautiful table! Happy Tablescape Thursday ~ Susan
The blue and yellow are striking together. Great combo.
Everything is so pretty! Love the Blue and White dishes. And the tea party... Awww...
Love your blue & yellow tablescape and especially the centerpiece!
I agree with you, blue & yellow together are definitely fresh and clean. Your tablescape is darling, but your granddaughter’s is absolutely precious!!! How sweet!!
I will be on the lookout for your mug. I am so sorry that you had an accident with one of them. I know how frustrating that is. I just cannot believe how expensive the mug is on Replacements.com, it really is ridiculous. If I see one I will pick it up for you.
Have a great weekend, Nicole
Love it!!!! It's so Country French. Your granddaughter steals the show, however. Absolutely adorable. I did a search on ebay and no mug but several bowls and plates. When you seach there just put in Highgrove and that's what located what they do have. When I put in Wedgewood Highgrove it returned nothing. I'll look at my antique mall, also. Good luck!
:)Nancy
