5 New Slipcovers

I have made 5 new slipcovers - can you believe it? Let me explain.

First, I have had this little Ethan Allen GW find for $28 for about 6 months, just working up the courage to slipcover it. Miss Mustard Seed and Traci at Beneath My Heart had inspired me with their slipcovers, so I finally got started.

I've been working on this for a week...1 hour here, 2 hours, there....not my favorite way to tackle a project like this.

Even today I must confess that it is lacking a few final touches of being finished, but I wanted to show you (actually I was desperate for a post!). The arms still have me in a quandry. I think I'll do ties on the wooden part of the arm. Anyway, I'm not too traumatized to try another slipcover (in about another year!).

I made four of these slipcovers.

What, you don't think it's a slipcover? It is a jumper that could cover a slip....hence a slipcover!
I made one for each of our four granddaughters.

I'm joining up with these wonderful ladies:

Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for Met Monday
Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for Today's Thrifty Treasures
Linda at Coastal Charm for Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays

Be sure and check out their great sites.....and then try making a slipcover! Happy Monday! Linda

Great job on the slipcover! The arms would be challenging unless you covered them as well but the wood is covered.

You did a beautiful job on the slipcover, I think I would use ties for the arms also. Who am I kidding, I would have had someone make the slipcover for me :) Love the jumpers you made for your grands - they are adorable. Kathy

I admire anyone who can make slipcovers ... they can be very slippery customers, they never seem to stay where you put them ... I suppose that's why they are called SLIP covers!! ROFL!!

You have done a lovely job of yours and the little pink dresses.

Warmest Hugs,
Sandi @ Bearly Sane

I've only attempted a slipcover once and there was lots and lots of cursing involved. I think you did a marvelous job, but I have some idea why you aren't ready to dive in again.
