My Blue & White Hutch

Before Christmas, my hutch
was full of white, creamware, ironstone, etc.

Then at Christmas,
I decided to use my red transferware for a change.

It was so nice having color,
that I decided to replace the red and white
with blue and white
collected over time.

I kept the mercury glass
'cause I like its shiney appearance.
has a beautiful hutch filled with blue & white
to which she added mercury glass at Christmas.
That was my inspiration!

I found a pair of these Spode plates at a flea market recently.

I think I'll keep the blue & white for a while.
It's a nice change from all white.....
But I still love all white!

Hope you're off to a great start for 2012.
I've been cleaning out paper and magazines
that pile up....do you have that problem???
Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Linda

It looks so pretty, Linda! Love the way you did it up for Christmas. The blue and white makes for a nice change, too. I'm still trying to get Christmas put away, but I did get a few spots cleared out and back to "normal".

I have a blue and white filled hutch, too. I like to use cool blues this time of year with the cold weather. That probably sounds crazy, but it's so refreshing after all of the red and greens at Christmas.
