Before Christmas, my hutch
was full of white, creamware, ironstone, etc.
Then at Christmas,
I decided to use my red transferware for a change.
It was so nice having color,
that I decided to replace the red and white
with blue and white
collected over time.
I kept the mercury glass
'cause I like its shiney appearance.
Debbie at Confessions of a Plate Addict
has a beautiful hutch filled with blue & white
to which she added mercury glass at Christmas.
That was my inspiration!
I found a pair of these Spode plates at a flea market recently.
I think I'll keep the blue & white for a while.
It's a nice change from all white.....
But I still love all white!
Hope you're off to a great start for 2012.
I've been cleaning out paper and magazines
that pile up....do you have that problem???
Happy New Year!
Blessings,
Linda

It looks so pretty, Linda! Love the way you did it up for Christmas. The blue and white makes for a nice change, too. I'm still trying to get Christmas put away, but I did get a few spots cleared out and back to "normal".
Linda, I love the blue and white and would love a collection.
Linda,The blue, and white looks so beautiful.

HA ha! You should come by and see my hutch! :) I love the mercury glass. It really does add a pop of shine.
Have a great week!

I have a blue and white filled hutch, too. I like to use cool blues this time of year with the cold weather. That probably sounds crazy, but it's so refreshing after all of the red and greens at Christmas.
Linda, I. of course, love your transferware, both red and the blue!! My box is 5 1/2" tall and that has worked well for us. I love yours!! I love the pegs too, what a cute idea. Thanks for stopping by!!
The details and decor in this room are awesome and definitely attracts the one who are going to this room. :)

Oh how fun to have identical twin granddaughters. How could you tell them apart? Ours are not identical and yet we have a tough time telling them apart especially when their heads are covered.....Christine
