We don't feed it, spray it, dust it....just let her grow naturally, and this year there were 35 apples!

Hubby filled a crate (GW $2 wine crate) with 'em! They have some spots, but that doesn't affect anything.
I have a couple of big bowls of them, so...........
I thought this would be a good excuse to make an apple crisp. Oops, I thought of it after we had served up our dishes!

I was thinking about how good fruit takes time, and how often God refers to good branches bearing fruit, and how He makes all thing beautiful in His time, and how prayer takes time, and answers take time. I guess an apple tree is for more than apples......it's for lessons, too. Blessings, Linda
p.s. Evidently Manuela at The Pleasures of Homemaking has a great apple tree, too!
And if you haven't seen the apple harvest that Cindy at Applestone Cottage brings in, then you haven't seen anything!

How nice to have a 'family tree'! This years crop looks great, and I'm sure tastes it too. The apple crisp looks SO appetising.
Love the crate.

Way to go Linda! Sometimes a few may be better. I get overwhelmed sometimes with the amount of apples we have.

Enjoy your apples.
Warmest Hugs,

Isn't it wonderful to be able to grow your own fruit! Homegrowers aren't as picky about how things look as commercial growers so I don't care if the apples have spots etc. I'd rather have that than been eating pesticide! Your crisp looks just delish - crisp is one of my favorite things to make!
