Tea Party for Big & Little Girls!

I hosted 4 generations for a tea party:
my mother, daughter and daughter-in-law,
4 granddaughters
(and 2 grandsons who had a picnic on the porch with hot wheels!).

I got some ideas from Pinterest, and used them
as a springboard for my own creations
(plus a little help from daughter & daughter-in-law).
I made four little nosegays - one for
each granddaughter to take home.

With some ribbon and flowers from the dollar store,
I fancied up the straw hats I had.

What girl doesn't like some jewels?
I sprinkled them across the center of the table,
and then added some heart shaped bangel bracelets
from the Target dollar bin.
The pink heart doilies under the teacups were easy to fold and cut.
I had fun using different cups - from my Mother, my aunt,
my grandmother, and my own.

The little girls enjoyed a bouquet
of turkey and cheese sandwiches,
peanut butter and jelly, fruit,
and banana bread butterflies.

The big girls enjoyed mini quiches and chicken salad filled toast cups,
along with fruit and banana bread with cream cheese.
Dessert was homemade cream puffs,
petite brownies and little peanut butter cookies.

We have a really fun time - lots of tea - and
plenty of "merci" all around.
I think we've started another tradition!

Blessings,
Linda

How adorable is your tea tablescape for the children! They must have had a lot of fun..I love the tea sandwiches. Gives me some ideas for future adult teas with my neighbors. Maybe I'll keep those cookie cutters I was going to take back to Michael's that I didn't use.
