Chevron Pillow & a Pair of Chairs

I like a touch of chevron -
it adds a little update to the status quo.
I made this pillow with about 1/3 yard of fabric from HobLob
(about $2.50), but I think it adds a lot of punch.

Also, do you think a pair of chairs needs to have matching pillows?

I'm going with a "no",
especially since I have another pair of matching chairs- separated by a sofa -
at the other end of the room. (which, by the way, DO have matching pillows).

Are you a matchy,matchy person?
Do things in pairs feel "off balance" if they don't match?
Or is it more interesting with variety?
Well, it probably just depends on the situation, huh?!

Hope you have a great week.
Blessings,
Linda

Love the new pillow. Can't believe you made that! Love the piping and of course green is my favorite color!

I think matchy on the couch but the chairs look perfect with different pillows.

Love the new pillow. It's just right with that chair.

I like a bit of matchy matchy. I think it's because I grew up with so much clutter. Matching furniture is less visual clutter and I find it calming. But too much matching is boring. Doesn't make sense does it? lol

Linda I love the chairs, love the pillows, and I love the pretty vignette on the table too! No matchy matchy for me. I think having different things gives a room more interest!
That area looks so pretty!

Matchy-matchy would mean, having the money in the budget to buy ALL THINGS NEW!!!
It isn't, so I don't. So, seeing how I buy what I buy second hand, or make it myself...
No. I don't do matchy-matchy. Besides I like the variety version.
Your chairs are look wonderful and the pillows are so cute! I like that they are different, size, shape, patterns!

Beautiful, Linda! I so admire your sewing skills. I;m not matchy matchy at all. In my living room I have a pastel floral sofa and striped chairs in the same shade. my tables, etc. are a total mix of styles and tones. I think that keeps things interesting.

Great job! :)

That chevron pillow is so gorgeous that I would love to see a second one. Since you have a throw on one chair and a brown pillow on the other, it wouldn't exactly be matchy matchy. I agree with Beverly that the pillow packs a lot of punch!!
