A Crazy Bargain

This is a crazy bargain that got repurposed -
a $225 linen dress from an exclusive boutique becomes a pair of tea towels!
Recently, I spotted this dress thrown over a counter at GW.
Debbie (at Confessions of a Plate Addict) and I were oohing and ahing over the beautiful decorative stitching, and I remarked to Debbie that it should be a pillow.....but it really didn't go with my décor.
She suggested tea towels.
Great idea. Especially when we saw the price tag -
originally $225, marked down to $125, marked down to $75,
sold for $6!

I cut up the one side seam.
Then I cut 2 pieces - 20" wide and 28" long.
I double folded the seams and stitched them up in 5 minutes.
I think they look like something from Anthropologie.

2 beautiful tea towels for $3 each - not sure if you can do better than that at Walmart!

Oh, these will be for decorative use only, don't 'ya think?!
Hope you have a fantastic week!
Blessings to you,
Linda

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, I really was going to sell them at the yardsale but something made me keep the wreaths and now I'm so glad I did!

They are beautiful. I like how you have them displayed with the bowl and maracas (if that's what it is) They're too good to use as tea towels or for hands!
