French Garden Inspiration

There's nothing like a little
French Garden Inspiration
for spring!
On a recent flea marketing outing, Debbie @Confessions of a Plate Addict and I
saw some beautiful spring garden inspiration with a dose of Frenchiness
thrown in!
The pictures say it all....white, chippiness, statues, wicker, French writing on pillows,
lavender, hydrangeas, etc.
Unusual mirror and lamps, and a container of fresh cut pussy willow....

Lavender in a bucket - who can resist!

Unusual bench...

Lovely display cabinet.....

A real fountain with rose petals floating in it....sigh.....

hydrangeas in a bucket - another simple beauty...

And, now for a few miscellaneous interesting things...
A gorgeous French table and chair set....

some demijohns.....

very interesting chair.....

cute little salt and pepper tureens!

I have a weakness for pillows, pitchers and baskets, and painted furniture!

and topiaries and old books.....

Hope you got some inspiration for spring!
I'm off to continue painting more chairs.....to be posted soon (I hope).
Blessings to you!
Linda

Linda, Oh wow..I can see how you and Debbie could get into some serious shopping at Queen of Hearts. Love those buckets of lavender. I was looking at lavender plants yesterday at Home Depot. Hmmmm.
The vignettes at QoH always amaze me. Great photos. Hope you have a great weekend... you have me inspired to think about what I'll do to make the deck look less like a deck and more like a French/English garden. Wish me luck.

Linda this is too funny. I just posted a comment on Debbie's blog telling her I'm moving to Georgia because you guys have the best antique shops and that I wanted every thing in that first photo!! Now I have my eye at that lamp in the last photo!! What a fun day of shopping you guys must of had! Martina

I just got a little weak-kneed myself looking at these pictures, Linda! I love all that stuff, too, and I probably would have spent too much time and money in this shop!

I bet you girls just had a ball! I saw so many things that I would have brought home with me and I'm looking forward to seeing what you and Debbie found. I know you couldn't have come home empty handed in a place like this!!!

Jane

I enjoyed both Debbie and your trip for wonderful spring inspiration. Each of you had different pictures. Loved the blue with roses needlepoint pillow; and of course, the brown transferware. Sally

Linda,
So-o-o-o-o what did you bring home with you??? Lovely girls day out. I adore all the photos you took, but had I gone along it would have been extremely hard to leave that Frenchy table and dining chairs behind! Be still my heart! In time, I tell myself, in time! Thank you for sharing more photos of this wonderful day out with Debbie!
